One sunny day, as he was walking home from work, he found a wallet lying on the sidewalk.Mr. Hamel picked it up and opened it. Inside, he saw some cash, credit cards, and an ID with a photo of a woman named Sarah. He knew he had to return the wallet to its owner.Instead of taking the money, he decided to find Sarah. Mr. Hamel looked at the address on the ID and realised it was not far from where he lived. He quickly walked to her house. When he arrived, he knocked on the door. A few moments later, a woman opened it. It was Sarah! Her face lit up when Mr. Hamel explained why he was there.“Oh, thank you so much!” Sarah exclaimed. “I thought I lost it forever! You have no idea how important this wallet is to me.”Mr. Hamel smiled and handed it to her. “I’m just glad I could help.”Sarah was so grateful that she invited him inside for a cup of tea. As they talked, Mr. Hamel learned that Sarah had been having a tough week. She had just lost her job and was feeling stressed about money.Feeling inspired by their conversation, Mr. Hamel shared some job leads he had heard about and offered to help her with her resume. They spent the afternoon working together, and by the end of the day, Sarah felt hopeful again.A few weeks later, Sarah called Mr. Hamel with exciting news. “I got a new job!” she said. “Thank you for all your help!”Mr. Hamel was thrilled for her. “I’m so happy to hear that! You deserve it.”Their friendship grew stronger, and they often met for coffee, supporting each other through life’s ups and downs. One day, Mr. Hamel realised something important. By returning the wallet, he had not only done the right thing, but he had also helped someone in need. His small act of kindness had made a big difference in Sarah’s life. The story of Mr. Hamel and Sarah spread around the town. People started to see the value of being kind and helping others.
